BillsMafia just got a dose of their own good will and wouldn’t you know it – it came from our brothers and sisters on the south shore of Lake Erie. We know the Rust Belt produces the best fan bases in all of sports. Now the rest of the world knows it too.
The ‘Dawg Pound’ decided to share some sunshine from their glorious win as the best fan base in sports. They knew it wasn’t a contest against the cheaters from Tennessee. So in order to make things right, they took one out of our book and decided to show BillsMafia some love.
BillsMafia and the Dawg Pound have always had a sibling-like relationship. During the dreadful years Browns fans lost their team (who became the Ravens), BillsMafia welcomed them with open arms. They even came to Buffalo to cheer for our team.
Of course like any sibling relationship, when the teams face off against each other as they will again this season, all bets are off. However, when the chips are down for either one of these teams, their respective fan bases come through for each other in a big way.
If ever there was a better example of how ‘karma’ works, I can’t think of one. Do good things, be a good role model and good things will eventually come your way. By setting an example for the rest of the NFL, BillsMafia just got it back in spades.
While a silly little contest may seem like a dumb thing for people to get riled up about, the animal shelters in Buffalo just became the latest beneficiary of our obsession with football. How cool is it that we just started a trend for showing love in the face of deceit or negativity?
I’ve never been more proud to be a part of the BillsMafia family. And it’s increasingly clear the Rust Belt produces the best fan bases in sports.
Thank you, Cleveland. We love you for this. Of course that’s only until our teams meet again this season. Hugs and kisses from BillsMafia!
