Updated 2/15/2018

Here’s a February update of all players whose teams the Bills’ scouts officially visited. I’ve added in bold the players the Bills met with at Shrine or Senior Bowl, and Combine meetings will be added in bold later. I’m now using their updated rankings from  DraftTek’s Big Board, and have arranged them by Round  to give you an idea where these candidates may be selected.

Disclaimers: The Big Board rankings are from DraftTek’s Big Board, which is here. Scouting the scouts is admittedly an inexact science.  One doesn’t know which of the two teams on the field they’re looking at more closely. For example, when Bills scouts went to last year’s FCS Championship between JMU and Villanova, which QB had they come to see, Schor or Bednarzcyk? We don’t know which players they covet, either; when the Bills watched the Louisville-FSU game, were their eyes peeled for Louisville QB Lamar Jackson, or the Seminoles’ Safety Derwin James? Or both? Remember, we have two first-round picks! Many underclassmen playing in these games often return to school rather than declare for the draft, so there’s that.
