Buffalo Bills & Signature Cutz Team Up With NFL Network For Fun Training Camp Experience

As members of the 2015 Buffalo Bills squad took to the field during their first week of training camp, they were accompanied by the Signature Cutz crew in a feature for NFL Network’s “Inside Training Camp—Making The Cut.” Instead of going to the local barbershop to talk sports, Kenny Harris, who owns the location at 2335 Main St, brought along his skilled team to put on the NFL Network’s first-ever “Pop-Up” barbershop right where the action was.

For four hours throughout Thursday’s practice, players, coaches, executives and fans were offered free trims, while discussing which of their favorite Bills players would #MakeTheCut as they competed to earn a spot on the final 53-man roster. Hall of Fame wide receiver Andre Reed, quarterback EJ Manuel and General Manager Doug Whaley all stopped by the pop-up ‘shop to mingle with fans and get haircuts of their own.

Harris, who also sets up shop inside of Ralph Wilson Stadium twice a week to provide haircuts to various Bills’ players, was ecstatic about the opportunity to not only gain some exposure for his local business, but to continue giving back to the community, as he so often does. Whether he’s coaching a game in the 450-child basketball league he sponsors, accompanying his friend and current Bills safety Corey Graham to youth football camps or donating school supplies, Harris and the team at Signature Cutz are always looking for a way to give something back to the Queen City.

When I asked LV– my personal barber when I go to Signature Cutz– about the craziest or strangest custom haircut he was asked to do at the event, he explained that an elderly lady had seen him cutting Andre Reed’s hair, so she approached him and asked to have Jim “Machine Gun” Kelly’s No. 12 shaved into the side of her head. Several other fans had the Buffalo Bills’ logo and other designs shaved as well.

The event put on by the NFL Network was a hit, as Harris estimated that roughly 200 haircuts were given out, while it allowed children and families to take in a beautiful day at training camp, meet their favorite players and even come home with a new ‘do’.
